Pete is a South Korea born, D.C. area raised, Vancouver trained, full-fledged Texan who reps H-town to
the fullest! The journey to get to Houston—where he has been serving since 2013, first as youth pastor
and now as the English pastor—has been full of God’s boundless grace and provision. Along the way,
Pete has had the privilege of marrying his beautiful wife Christina and welcoming three wonderful
children Mason, Connor and Kara. As Pete and his family like to say, “The Chung Clan is real y’all!”
Pete’s passions are both vast and intense: being an authentic Christian for Jesus in today’s world by living
a gospel-rich life; loving Christina, Mason, Connor and Kara; loving the Church (both local and global);
sports of all kinds (both as a participant and as a fan) especially basketball and football and more
especially the Dallas Cowboys; FOOD (finding, eating, creating and sharing); and good music (old school
R&B, singer-songwriters, GOOD hip-hop). For Pete, his “thing” is living the life that God desires for His
people, both here on earth and of course for all eternity! As the years pass, there is one question that
continually remains: How can we best live life, enjoying and living into all that God has designed and
desires for His beloved people, as God draws near to us and we to God? His hope is that all people would
discover, accept, and respond to the wonderful life of discipleship God calls all people into (which is the
best life). His life he hopes, will always beg to ask, “Who are we for Jesus, today?”
